Rumi had said something on the lines that when you start walking, the path appears. But often, one path leads to another. We are exploring ways to get archives and entire collections digitised.

After my talk at Shrishti School of Design last year, someone had looked up the internet archives dot org and asked if my Nana’s photos were there. Unfortunately, he has largely been forgotten and his works aren’t out there yet.

Serendipitously, that’s going to change soon. Today Narayan Rao Kulkarni’s son, grandson and yours truly, the granddaughter, met Carl Malamud to find the  way ahead.

We will be collaborating with his organisation Servants of Knowledge based in Bangalore to get them all up as open source resources for researchers and interested folks.
